The Solar Charge Controller
To keep the RV batteries from over charging a solar controller is included in the kit. The controller is the Go Power 30 Amp PWM controller capable of charging 2 battery banks and also has a USB charging port on the front.
Solar Panel Mounting Hardware for RV Roof
When you order your RV solar kit, you will receive enough mounting brackets and hardware to install each panel. These brackets are designed for RV roof installation. it is important that you install the bracket through a beam on the RV Roof. this allows a strong permanent install on your roof. Also it is super important to make sure that the install is water tight. Water is the enemy of your recreation vehicle, so a clean watertight install is absolutely necessary.

Each solar kit will come with the proper MC4 Cables for a quick connect system.
A single solar panel system will include the following for wiring the panel into your RV:

Tips & Tricks for Installing your solar panels on your RV Roof
There are a lot of factors that go into having a proper install of the solar on your RV. These include making sure the panels are mounted securely and completely:
- Make sure all points are water tight.
- Make sure panel brackets are securely mounted into a roof beam or rafter.
- Make sure the brackets are secured properly to the brackets.
- Make sure the MC4 Cables are secured as not to swing freely in the wind.
- Make sure panel will not be shadowed by other equipment on the roof.

How many panels do I need?
The more panels you have, the faster you will be able to recharge your batteries. There are a lot of solar calculators to get exact requirements, but what they don't take into play is low light and inclement weather conditions. It is these conditions when having a larger array is a huge benefit. We suggest buy the largest array that meets your available space and your available budget for solar. Will the panels overcharge my battery bank?
The charge controller is designed to protect your battery bank from overcharging from too much solar energy.
What gauge wire is used to wire system?
The MC4 cables included with this system are 10AWG wire.
