A little trip to the Destin Beach ~ Henderson State Park

by Chad Whitney

Time to try out a few items we have changed on our Sprinter Conversion Camper Van called Buzz Year 2. We thought some where close and pretty, so Destin was a shoe in. Here are a couple pics from this State Park.

My son decided to wear his Bike Helmet backwards so I thought I would share the very interesting look.

Henderson State park has nice gravel RV spots that have a variety of electrical and water services. There was not sewer on our site and I do not believe it was available. It did have  very nice electrical hookups that included 15 Amp, 20 Amp, 30 Amp and 50 Amp AC power.

The RV park has a nice beachy feel and feels secluded even though other sites are only 30 feet away. The palmettos do a great job of keep noise down and privacy. The road around the sites are asphalt and the kids were able to ride both skateboards and bikes very easily.

Destin is known for emerald green water and stunning views. The water is crystal clear and the sand is soft and white. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short because of really bad thunderstorms. We will be back!
